The Naturescapes Collaboratory strives to form a diverse community around nature-based solutions where people work to discover new ways of doing, thinking and living together.
Here you can find out more information about the different ways we organise the Collaboratory meetings, as well as information about past and future events, including presentation materials and meeting recordings. If you want to learn more about the Collaboratory, check out our blogpost.
Each Collaboratory event operates according to a particular “meeting mode” – idea exploration, collaborative showcase and project update. The “meeting mode” helps participants to work together in different ways and achieve different goals.
Mode #1: Idea Exploration
This form of meeting focuses on testing and/or exploring particular ideas, initiatives, or tools related to nature-based solutions. These ideas will come from the Naturescapes team, as well as from our external partners. The session will focus on 1-2 presentations that are more in-depth and will provide time and space for Collaboratory members to comment, ask questions, and think through the idea together.
Mode #2: Collaborative Showcase
This form of meeting focuses on promoting the work and initiatives on nature-based solutions of our partners from all across the world. This type of session will open with a short overview presentation on the theme being discussed. Then, we will give the floor to our partners to showcase the work they are doing and exchange ideas with Collaboratory members. The session will involve 3-5 short presentations.
Mode #3: Project Update
This form of meeting focuses on giving updates on the progress of the Naturescapes project, including outputs, recent developments, and future initiatives or events. The session is organised by Naturescapes team members and will feature 3-4 short presentations on project work. The purpose of the meeting is to connect the Collaboratory with ongoing project activities.
